State Approval and Consumer Information
SPCDL Truck Driving School is proud to be one of only seven trucking schools in California approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE). This approval reflects our commitment to meeting California's rigorous standards for private postsecondary education and ensures that our students receive the protections and quality training they deserve.
What Our BPPE Approval Means for You
As a BPPE-approved institution, SPCDL Truck Driving School:
- Meets California's standards for quality vocational education
- Provides transparent performance data through our School Performance Fact Sheets
- Offers student protections including clear refund policies and the right to cancel
- Maintains proper records and trained instructors
- Participates in the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) for additional student protection
Important Notice Regarding Approval
SPCDL Truck Driving School is a private institution that was granted approval to operate by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means compliance with state standards as set forth in the California Education Code (CEC) and Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations (5 CCR). This approval does not mean that:
- The institution or its educational programs are endorsed or recommended by the state or by the Bureau, or
- The approval to operate indicates that the institution exceeds minimum state standards.

Our Approved Programs
SPCDL Truck Driving School is approved to offer the following educational programs:
CDL: Online Multimedia Training (Theory)
- Program Length: 160 Hours
- Delivery Method: Online/Distance Education
- Prepares students for the CDL written knowledge examination
CDL: In Person Hands-On Training
- Program Length: 20 Hours
- Delivery Method: In Person at our San Bernardino training facility
- Prepares students for the CDL skills examination (pre-trip inspection, basic controls, road test)
Student's Right to Cancel
Students have the right to cancel their enrollment agreement and receive a full refund through attendance at the first class session, or the seventh day after enrollment, whichever is later. Complete cancellation and refund policies are detailed in our School Catalog and Enrollment Agreement.
Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF)
The State of California established the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) to relieve or mitigate economic loss suffered by a student in an educational program at a qualifying institution, who is or was a California resident while enrolled, or was enrolled in a residency program, if the student enrolled in the institution, prepaid tuition, and suffered an economic loss.
